Carrie Taylor was born and raised in Columbia, SC. She recently moved to Greenville with her husband and fur children after living in the mountains of Tennessee for a while. Carrie earned a BA from Columbia College in 2003. The shift from photography to ultrasound turned out to be a natural one because observing fine details and producing high quality images applies to both. Carrie completed the sonographer training program at Advanced Diagnostics Inc. in 2006. She is a board-certified cardiovascular sonographer. Her career has taken her into a wide variety of clinical settings in South Carolina and Tennessee. Despite their inherent challenges (or maybe because of them) nursing homes and critical care units were some of her favorite areas. Working with the aging population holds a special place in her heart. She is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), the South Carolina Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SCSVU-President 2017), and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU). Carrie recently returned to South Carolina to fulfill her dream of becoming a fulltime educator with the CVT Leadership Program at Prisma Health. There is so much joy in sharing knowledge! It has been a pleasure to serve on the SCSE board of directors since 2019. The SCSE gives our community the platform to learn and grow together!
